Meeting between Vice President Marković and the Ambassador of Azerbaijan Eldar Hasanov

Allow me to congratulate Montenegro on reforms at national level as well as on its role of stability factor in the region of Western Balkans since it is, among other things, important for the countries being its friends and partners as is the Republic of Azerbaijan, the ambassador Eldar Hasanov explained at the reunion with President of the Government and Minister of Justice Duško Marković.

He repeated that the progress achieved in Montenegro directly contributes further   backup of partnership between the two countries especially from the perspective of direct investments placed by the Republic of Azerbaijan in Montenegro, and the extent of which is planned to expand in the period ahead.

Vice President Marković approved the intensive contacts realized in the previous period in state, politics and economy affairs. He used the opportunity to express gratitude for the investments of Azerbaijan in reconstruction of the King’s Park in Podgorica and a kindergarten in Bijelo Polje praising the willingness of Azerbaijan party to participate in other development programs according to its investment policy.

Later in the dialogue parties mutually assessed the way of integration as successful which Montenegro is taking towards its membership in the European Union and NATO, especially the activities on further corroboration of the rule of law and legal safety carrying benefits not only for foreign and national companies already running business in Montenegro, but primarily for each citizen individually.

In the context of successfully realizing the project “One and Only” resort in Kumbor, special item on the meeting agenda was the upcoming dynamics of project development. The ambassador Hasanov acquainted the Vice President with the fact that according to the plan set in this year activities on the project shall be tripled.
